Twenty years in the
rooms where it happens.
VN Advisory was built on a simple observation: the advice most organisations receive on supply chain and procurement comes from people who have studied operations — not run them. The frameworks are sound. The gap is the 3am call when a supplier goes under, the routing decision when the Red Sea closes, the commodity position that has to be unwound in a falling market.
Varadha Narayanan has spent 20 years in those situations — across commodity trading, supply chain operations, and procurement transformation in the GCC and India. A certified Independent Director under the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he brings both boardroom governance perspective and operational rigour to every engagement. Clients engage VN Advisory because they want a senior practitioner in the room, not a methodology.
The GCC–India corridor is not a geographic footnote to a global practice. It is the core. The trade flows, regulatory environment, counterparty dynamics, and logistics infrastructure are the operating context in which VN Advisory has built its expertise.
The VN Advisory difference
Three principles that govern every engagement — not aspirational values, but observable commitments.
No software vendor partnerships. No referral arrangements. No preferred suppliers to recommend. The advice is governed entirely by what is right for the client situation — because there is no secondary revenue stream to protect.
The principal who sells the engagement is the principal who works on it. There is no handoff to a junior team after the kickoff meeting. The operating experience that makes the advice credible stays on the account throughout the engagement.
Client information is never referenced in proposals to other clients, never used as case study material without explicit consent, and never shared across engagements. The market in which our clients operate is small enough that discretion is not optional.
Beyond advisory — a connected practice.
VN Advisory sits at the centre of a broader set of ventures built around the same themes: trade intelligence, freight data, and market education. Each venture informs the advisory practice — and the advisory practice informs each venture.
The core practice. Supply chain, procurement, AI transformation, CBAM compliance, war risk, and commodity intelligence for businesses across the GCC–India corridor.
Commodity trade facilitation across the GCC–India corridor. Direct operating experience in the physical commodity markets that informs the advisory practice.
Geopolitical Trade Intelligence — where capital meets consequence. Hidden trade flows, supply chain choke points, and geopolitics explained for practitioners.
